The GigRig QuarterMaster QMX6

Simple loop switching for your pedals

High-quality true bypass strip loop control for your effects pedals. Compact easy switching solution to keep your tone intact.

TheGigRig QMX has all the same great features as the standard QuarterMaster including;

1. Uses TheGigRig 'True Bypass' relay technology keeping your tone perfectly intact and your switching quiet.
2. Tough aluminium enclosure and small footprint will keep your pedalboard light and compact
3. Uses the new GigRig 'OptoKick' Optical Foot switch which we believe is the most reliable foot switch in the world.

PLUS, the QMX has a very clever ace up its sleeve.

Each loop has a push button next to the loop return that gives you the option to turn a standard loop into a flip/flop loop.
Instantly switch between any selected loops while adding other loops on top. Its great if there are effects on your board that you never stack like multiple delays, or drive units.
By using the QMX returns as instrument inputs you can easily and quietly switch between your favourite guitars

For your simple compact board, TheGigRig QuarterMaster QMX just makes life that little bit easier.

When the Quartermaster arrived in a cardboard tube, I thought there was a mistake. There was no way this thing was going to be so light! Upon unpacking it, I was stunned how slim and small this unit is. I had worried about having to ban some pedals from my board to make room, but it sits on the front bar of my PedalTrain without endangering any pedal's position. You'll want to experiment with different kinds of patch cables to maximize space further. I think straight-to-angled plug cables are probably the most economic way to go. The switches are a joy to use. Smooth and responsive, without any annoying click sounds. The LEDs are bright and clear. Haven't done too much with the flip flop function yet, but I imagine it'll come in handy, especially with my 2 stacked Tube Screamers. I've set one of them to very soft, the other to higher overdrive. I'll be great to be able to go from one to the other with just one foot step. This thing is everything I hoped for, and quite a bit more.

This is the bee's knees. The flip/flop loop switches turn this into sophisticated but minimalist switching solution. I love it.

Never thought I really needed a switcher, then I came across a previous review where he mentioned using it with vintage pedals without true-bypass - The light bulb popped up over my head and I ordered one that night... WOW! What a difference!!! My board has 6 vintage pedals, I tried using a buffer, but I didn't like what it did to the top-end. The Quartermaster solved everything. The flip/flop mode is Aces. Got vintage pedals you need this - Period

I first saw the QMX in an Anderton's demo video. It sounded great in theory, but I didn't realize what a difference-maker it was until I ordered and set up my own. It brought out a clarity I didn't know was possible from my board. It gave my pedals some serious balls, and it eliminated the old pedalboard two-step. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

    Quartermaster QMX - 6

I have to say I am pretty happy with the QMX-6.
Exactly as advertised. I settled for sound quality over functionality in the $200 - $300 market. I have bought and sold other big name loop switchers that do a bunch more but.. just don't leave your "tone" for lack of a better word as intact. The filp flop mode is very useful and I could see the gig rig developing this more as in 2 different zones of flip flop mode.. but guitar players, we always want more ;)
The switches are great, no clicking or popping, very smooth. All in all I'm happy with the purchase.

I wish I had bought one of these years ago. It works like a dream and is perfect for noisy vintage pedals.

This is simply an amazing product and works even better than advertised. Clean, transparent, and ruggedly built, it also just sounds great...My board has never sounded better! Even more impressive is the stellar customer service from this group; Danny and his team are incredible. Thanks Gigrig!

Beautiful piece of kit, works great, and feels awesome. The switches are so smooth and rad. Takes some getting used to compared to stiffer switches but so worth it.
    Great work gigrig!
