Simple loop switching for your pedals
High-quality true bypass strip loop control for your effects pedals. Compact easy switching solution to keep your tone intact.
TheGigRig QMX has all the same great features as the standard QuarterMaster including;
1. Uses TheGigRig 'True Bypass' relay technology keeping your tone perfectly intact and your switching quiet.
2. Tough aluminium enclosure and small footprint will keep your pedalboard light and compact
3. Uses the new GigRig 'OptoKick' Optical Foot switch which we believe is the most reliable foot switch in the world.
PLUS, the QMX has a very clever ace up its sleeve.
Each loop has a push button next to the loop return that gives you the option to turn a standard loop into a flip/flop loop.
Instantly switch between any selected loops while adding other loops on top. Its great if there are effects on your board that you never stack like multiple delays, or drive units.
By using the QMX returns as instrument inputs you can easily and quietly switch between your favourite guitars
For your simple compact board, TheGigRig QuarterMaster QMX just makes life that little bit easier.

I am using the QMX-6 on a Temple Audio pedal board. Very specific effects being controlled are dedicated to reproducing sounds of Hendrix, Gilmour, Trower and Johnson. This is the annex board(18” wide)to the larger VooDoo Labs board(24”wide) that uses the QMX-8 that controls a different set of pedals and AB/Y boxes. The build quality of the two GigRig Quartermasters is beyond reproach. Built like a tank, sure to take many years of abuse without an issue! Expensive, but worth every cent!
Great great unit , quality all the way , love the switches ,, I don’t like where the power plug is location (I wish was in the back ) . But no room there . And I wish the switches were about a 1/2 or 3/8 of an inch further apart , sometimes in the heat of riffing it up I hit 2 by mistake ,, it wouldn’t hurt to be a little longer because I was really kind of cramming my pedals a bit to much , but looks great works fantastic , is only my personal little things , everyone is different Thanks for the fast shipping and killer product
Fantastic product and support from company. Shipped fast and great follow up by company. Product is built extremely well with all high grade parts. Works like a champ and completely changed the time of my pedals! Fantastic piece of gear!!!!
Lovin’ it so far! The separation of pedals makes my entire rig sound so much better! For the price it would have been nice to include a wall wart and some labels though.
I bought this for my husband and he's over the moon about it. Loves it. His sound is superb now. I mostly wanted to comment on shipping myself. I have never had a better experience with shipping even through Amazon. I had updates of where my order was down to the hour it was to be delivered and it got to me WAY sooner than I was initially told it would. I will definitely be ordering from the gigrig in the future!
Just installed it yesterday seems to do everything i need and nothing I don't
Another great product from a great company!
I first had a G2, which is a fantastic product, but the board was large and I didn't end up liking having a layer of hidden pedals underneath an upper deck I couldn't see or easily tweak, so I decided to go to a smaller board with a Quartermaster QMX-6. The QMX-6 fits perfectly on a West Coast Pedalboards 18x12" pedalboard, and looks great. I can fit 2 rows of pedals above. It's a close, but economic fit that forces me to make decisions. The size constraint is good. Summary: I love the QMX-6 workflow! Some things I learned from switching: I use the hot switching on the QMX-6 to go directly between clean/drive/fuzz sounds, but I leave a treble booster (pre-drives), post-drive boost, flanger, and delay in toggle mode. For delay, I used the Analogman ADRX20, which lets you setup 2 analog delay settings. I can hit the settings switcher on the ARDX20 to switch between short/long delays, but I use the QMX-6 footswitch to bring delay in or out. I discovered that the workflow with dual overdrive pedals is better than I anticipated. I can "prepare" a dual overdrive pedal before switching to it. I.e. on King of Tone, I can go from clean -> boost OR clean -> overdrive, depending on what I do to the KoT before switching to it with the QMX-6. I put tuner, Strymon Flint and a Ditto looper completely after the QMX-6, so not "everything" will fit in the QMX-6, but all the potentially noisy analog pedals do, and the workflow is nice for switching between overdrives and kicking on boosts. I have an extra slot in the QMX-6 as my "floater" spot. After overdrives and before flanger. It's unused, but if I want to use a different pedal with my setup, I can just drop it on the board, plug it in with short patch cables to QMX-6 slot 5, and off to the races. It's easy to make it a hot switching spot (i.e. additional overdrive) or a toggle (i.e. phaser). To me, this is a really great setup that covers the bases day-in/day-out, but still lets me be flexible by trying a new pedal, not having to rewire everything, and not prompting me to build the "ultimate" board. It's made me focus on having a smaller set of REALLY good pedals (i.e. KoT) vs. collecting a ton of pedals and trying to figure out where they go on a massive board. It's prompted me use my volume control more.
My guitar has never sounded better! This is one of the best pieces of guitar gear that I have ever bought. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone! Totally worth it!!
