Simple loop switching for your pedals

High-quality true bypass strip loop control for your effects pedals. Compact easy switching solution to keep your tone intact.

TheGigRig QMX has all the same great features as the standard QuarterMaster including;

1. Uses TheGigRig 'True Bypass' relay technology keeping your tone perfectly intact and your switching quiet.
2. Tough aluminium enclosure and small footprint will keep your pedalboard light and compact
3. Uses the new GigRig 'OptoKick' Optical Foot switch which we believe is the most reliable foot switch in the world.

PLUS, the QMX has a very clever ace up its sleeve.

Each loop has a push button next to the loop return that gives you the option to turn a standard loop into a flip/flop loop.
Instantly switch between any selected loops while adding other loops on top. Its great if there are effects on your board that you never stack like multiple delays, or drive units.
By using the QMX returns as instrument inputs you can easily and quietly switch between your favourite guitars

For your simple compact board, TheGigRig QuarterMaster QMX just makes life that little bit easier.

So I have about 15 pedals in circulation. I have owned two of the top switching systems, (you know who they are). They are great tools if you have a set number of pedals. However, if you are testing new pedals or re-arranging pedals then the QMX product is great and the best products in their class. Most pedals are not designed to be stack with other pedals due to poor input and output design. So the QMX products allow compensation by switching it out of the system. In my home studio, I have my pedals at arms length and if you have ever switched foot switches with your hands, you know you are looking at tendonitis. The switches on the QMX are soft touch a provide a consistent and easy switching for all pedals. (Except dual pedals).

The only thing that could please me more with my GigRig purchase would be if they had sent me a G3 by accident instead :) I couldn't be happier! Dan and his toys for grown-ups make life better and that's the bottom line. Thank you guys for everything you do you're absolute Leg Ends for the ages. Peace

Really happy with this addition. It has made a big difference in cleaning up my signal chain, and its so easy to use. The flip flop feature is also a killer feature for me.

    Absolute Best You Can Buy

Posted by Jack Sharkey on Sep 11th 2020

Dear Dan, as a huge fan of yours and your show with Mick I cannot express how cool it was to buy something that not only you created - but also is absolutely top-of-the-line, best-you-can buy status. I'm only a hobbyist/solo studio player right now, but decided about a year ago I really wanted to invest in updating my setup for recording and live playing. The sound quality and build quality of the QuaterMaster products really are on a professional level that just makes me smile and gives me this warm feeling when using at home, as most of my other equipment is just no where near on the same level. Cheers, Sharkey

Everything I Was Hoping and More

The Quartermaster does exactly as advertised. My guitar and bass sound pure running straight through it, with no “tone suck.” Once I applied any combination of the loops to my tone, I noticed my pedals sounded even better than I’m used to hearing. It’s true that some of your tone gets lost as it runs through tons of pedals on a large pedalboard, and the Quartermaster fixes the issue. I use the flip-flop option for most of my gain pedals and it works wonderfully for switching between them. Trust me, this is such a simple, yet powerful addition to any pedalboard.

I had no idea how much I would love it. The flip-flop mode alone makes it worth the pedal but the tone benefit is amazing! I think I'm going to buy another one for my smaller board!

QMX-10, Custom Power Path Diagram and Supporting Gear

Posted by GBarge on Apr 22nd 2019

QMX-10 performs flawlessly. Very smooth and easy actuation. "Flip-flop mode" is more genius than anticipated. I rebuilt my entire board, including power and patch cables. Installation was simple. Highly recommend the custom power path diagram and components such as distributor, voltage modules and isolators. These, combined with Evidence Audio patch cables, yield an astonishing difference in sonic clarity, which was the initial point of changing to the QMX-10. Have had to readjust beginning settings on each pedal. Previous arrangement was conventional patch cables and well known, very serviceable power supply. GigRig system is significantly different. Couldn't be more pleased with this upgrade. Pro tip is to just do it all, rather than peck at it over time; it's a comprehensive system.
