Effortless switching. Used by international artists.  Industry standard rig control.

G2 is the most advanced effects pedal board switching system in the world. Born of an obsession for tone, it's beautiful, powerful, compact and unbelievably simple to use. Most important of all: it has the cleanest, most transparent audio possible. You simply won't believe your tone.

G2 takes true bypass switching to an entirely new level using technology never seen before on a pedal board switcher.

The most important difference is our 'Passive True Bypass Matrix'. This technology guarantees the most direct signal path possible with no loading of your guitar signal. Its truly amazing.

Almost 10 years ago we released the world's first programmable true bypass pedalboard switcher, the Pro14. Every ounce of knowledge that we have gained during that time working with some of the best musicians in the world is now manifest in G2.

G2 is an obsession realised, and we know you're going to love it.

Key Features

  1. 10 Passive True Bypass Matrix effects loops including 2 stereo effects loops means you'll hear your effects like you've never heard them before
  2. Delay spillover between presets, even with your old analog delays
  3. 120 Pre-sets (8 banks of 15) which can each be configured for Pre-set or Stomp Box mode gives you unparalleled flexibility and control
  4. A movable insert to connect your amps' FX loop, Volume Pedal, anything you like, and then place it anywhere in your signal path
  5. Programmable Pre Gain on every pre-set which can buffer, attenuate or boost the input to your effects
  6. Programmable Post Gain giving complete control over the master volume of each pre-set
  7. 2 switchable outputs including an isolated phase reversible OUT2 so you'll have no earth hum or phase issues between your amps
  8. Milled from stainless steel, our own-designed OptoKick footswitch uses light instead of mechanics to do the foot switching, so there's nothing to break.  We believe these are the most reliable foot switches in the world
  9. Full MIDI in & out so G2 can control or be controlled by external MIDI devices
  10. Zero confusion - unbelievably easy to use

    GigRig G2 Review

Posted by Jussi Reijonen on Apr 28th 2019

Just got my G2 and am still in the process of rewiring my board, but the clarity and purity of tone with the G2 is absolutely incredible. Made a huge difference in my sound already.

If you want to sound really good using pedals you need a G2. If you can’t afford a G2, change your lifestyle for a while until you have saved for a G2.

    GigRig G2

I have only just begun to tap into the features of the G2 but I have been beyond impressed with my experience so far. The first, and most obvious, benefit is that it allows me to easily group groups of pedals into my favorite clusters of sounds and be able to acces each one with a simple button push. Also, the fact that the effects I’m not using are not lengthening my signal chain has improved the overall sound of my rig. The thing I like most though (and somewhat unexpected) is the ability to set pre and post gain levels for each saved preset. And it’s all very easily done!

    The amazing G2

Posted by Pete Chimbidis on Sep 18th 2018

I have wanted a smart switching system for individual pedals for over a decade now, but never pulled the trigger. After discovering That Pedal Show, I knew the G2 was the system for me. Saved up for awhile and received it this past week. It’s “all that and a bag of chips;” seriously. The learning curve for basic operation of setting up loops is nearly a straight line, and even the slightly more in-depth features took only minutes to master. The sound clarity is the pinnacle, here, and I could write page after page on just how good it sounds with my individual pedals. My only wish is that there was some way to be able to do a wet/dry rig (I also have the Humdinger and use it as described in the manual with the G2), BUT, to also be able to have delay/reverb tails. Since I have to have the volume pedal jacks AFTER loop 10 to do the wet/dry thing, there doesn’t seem to be any way of also having delay tails. (And I tried, but you get killer feedback if you move your time-based effect loops after the volume in/out.) Aside from that—absolutely brilliant gear.

I've had my G2 for a couple weeks now. After using the Pro14 for many years I am very pleased with the G2. Setup was a breeze to get going in a hurry. But now that I have had some time to get to know the G2, I am really amazed with what it can do and I am still tweaking. I love having several banks to work with. I'm sure as I go on I will find out about many more things that this incredible unit can do. Definitely worth the wait after pre order. About two and a half weeks. The G2 takes up about half the room on my pedal board than the Pro14 did. Another plus. I could go on and on about it. All I can say is try it. You won't be disappointed.

In fairness, I've only just installed the G2 on my pedalboard. The initial configurations are very easy and it really allows the pedals to breath and perform as intended. I will now delve into programming the foot switches and midi control of my H9. Overall, I'm very impressed.

    A dream come true!!

Posted by Rene D. on May 3rd 2018

The G2 is a dream come true. It's perfect! Daniel and his team did an amazing job. You can set it up any way you want to, the options are unlimited. I have had it for 6 months now and all the different configurations that I have thought of are possible. The materials quality is excellent, the way it works is so effective and intuitive, it's so simple to use, it has been completely well thought. You can easily tell that this work of art was made by a genius engineer and at the same time by a person that plays guitar and has a lot of pedals and knows what is needed. Couldn't be happier. Thank you so much!
