The GigRig G2 Switching System

Effortless switching. Used by international artists.  Industry standard rig control.

G2 is the most advanced effects pedal board switching system in the world. Born of an obsession for tone, it's beautiful, powerful, compact and unbelievably simple to use. Most important of all: it has the cleanest, most transparent audio possible. You simply won't believe your tone.

G2 takes true bypass switching to an entirely new level using technology never seen before on a pedal board switcher.

The most important difference is our 'Passive True Bypass Matrix'. This technology guarantees the most direct signal path possible with no loading of your guitar signal. Its truly amazing.

Almost 10 years ago we released the world's first programmable true bypass pedalboard switcher, the Pro14. Every ounce of knowledge that we have gained during that time working with some of the best musicians in the world is now manifest in G2.

G2 is an obsession realised, and we know you're going to love it.

Key Features

  1. 10 Passive True Bypass Matrix effects loops including 2 stereo effects loops means you'll hear your effects like you've never heard them before
  2. Delay spillover between presets, even with your old analog delays
  3. 120 Pre-sets (8 banks of 15) which can each be configured for Pre-set or Stomp Box mode gives you unparalleled flexibility and control
  4. A movable insert to connect your amps' FX loop, Volume Pedal, anything you like, and then place it anywhere in your signal path
  5. Programmable Pre Gain on every pre-set which can buffer, attenuate or boost the input to your effects
  6. Programmable Post Gain giving complete control over the master volume of each pre-set
  7. 2 switchable outputs including an isolated phase reversible OUT2 so you'll have no earth hum or phase issues between your amps
  8.  Milled from stainless steel, our own-designed OptoKick footswitch uses light instead of mechanics to do the foot switching, so there's nothing to break.  We believe these are the most reliable foot switches in the world
  9. Full MIDI in & out so G2 can control or be controlled by external MIDI devices
  10. Zero confusion - unbelievably easy to use

    Believe the hype

Posted by Bill D on May 11th 2020

The G2 is that rare product that actually delivers on its promise of being both massively powerful and dead simple to use. For years, I tap danced around my pedalboard to change settings. And despite having a 3 channel amp, I'd started using dirt pedals because it was just easier. That has all ended with the G2.

With a board that includes a range of analog MIDI effects, the G2 allows me to forget all that and just get the sound I want in one tap. Also, I'm pretty new to MIDI controllers, so I had a bunch of questions about how to get everything setup. No worries, because I have never had more helpful and competent customer service anywhere.

An amazing product and a company that should be a model to all in the industry. I only wish I was aware of the G2 sooner!

As good as you think it is

Posted by Russell H. on May 1st 2020

I replaced a simple old Moen GEC-9 switcher with a G2 to have more available loops, have stompbox mode, more presets per bank, and the pre-gain feature. However, the most striking difference is how much better my unaffected signal is with no loops engaged. The G2 is worth the money on your pedalboard for sound quality alone. Really not sure how the G2 can be made much better. It is everything you need for controlling your board/rig. Kudos to Dan and team.

    Buy now

If you’re reading this, then you already know you want it. Proceed to checkout and you will not be disappointed. I waited a long time to buy one because it’s a substantial investment but once I started playing with it I wish I had it years ago. I love that I can create presets that blend pedals, different amp channels, and even different attenuator settings. It’s so powerful and yet so easy. This is a total game changer for me. Thank you GigRig!!!

    I didn’t believe the hype

Posted by Jeremy on Oct 4th 2019

It’s probably cliche at this point, but I didn’t believe the hype that my tone and sound would improve. ...but it did! Everything came alive with such flavor. The interface of the G2, usability, and layout just makes sense. It’s not a cheap unit, but the price tag seems worth it for the tone and clarity!

    GigRig G2 Review

Just got my G2 and am still in the process of rewiring my board, but the clarity and purity of tone with the G2 is absolutely incredible. Made a huge difference in my sound already.

If you want to sound really good using pedals you need a G2. If you can’t afford a G2, change your lifestyle for a while until you have saved for a G2.

    GigRig G2

Posted by James Blaney on Nov 11th 2018

I have only just begun to tap into the features of the G2 but I have been beyond impressed with my experience so far. The first, and most obvious, benefit is that it allows me to easily group groups of pedals into my favorite clusters of sounds and be able to acces each one with a simple button push. Also, the fact that the effects I’m not using are not lengthening my signal chain has improved the overall sound of my rig. The thing I like most though (and somewhat unexpected) is the ability to set pre and post gain levels for each saved preset. And it’s all very easily done!
